Only the United States and Israel Demand the Siege of Gaza Continue

I want the United States to stand with the world on this and to end the diminution of Palestinian sovereignty.  So the siege needs to be ended and all the check points and settlements removed.  The Palestinians need forty  percent of Palestine or a binational single state.
    Tragically and incomprehensibly only the US has bowed to Israel's Netanyahu and vetoed the Security Council resolution that the siege of Gaza be ended.  One might say, in the jargon of the bought-and-sold "Liberal" reactionaries that this was a learnable moment but Obama learned nothing.  We learned that Obama is looking like someone who will continue to shield Israel against any real accountablity for anything.  His ridiculous suggestion that Israel investigate itself reveals his craven embrace of the "Israel first, middle and last!" mentality.  He is just like the Clintons or worse, more of a right wing Zionist than many Israeli citizens themselves.

Obama is not the leader of the free world.  You don't help and guarantee that 1.6 million people under siege and then say you are part of a free or liberated world.  Obama is Israel's ultimate protection from any accountability in any venue.

  Gaza is no fantasy epa, irs or nsa camp  as in the right wing plots that fill the heads of American dunderheads.  Why can't we Americans focus on the real concentration camps supported by our goverment, all essential because we obey Israeli, anti-American, nonsense about keeping the Palestinians down and downtrodden.  
   Israel is a "sundown nation", they never had a civil rights struggle that won.  They believe in segregation and apartheid and expect us to bank roll it and to protect their crimes in the UN and elsewhere.  Why are we doing it?  It is unAmerican and against any sense of human rights or human decency to enslave or stunt the Palestinian nation.

Does American and Israeli intransigence require a new international organization that cannot be vetoed by them or any single power.

    Israel has murdered an unknown number of humanitarian activists on the high seas.  The goal of the Israelis was to continue the siege of Gaza, an ongoing crime against humanity that isolates impoverishes and stunts 1.6 million Palestinians.

Hundreds of citizens from around the world are now hostages of the Israeli pirates.  The American polity is unconcerned.  For Democrats and Republicans, bought and sold by every industry, are also bought and sold by the Zionist lobby.  "Poor Israel" they moan, how tragically misunderstood.  What a difficult boarding.  Those poor IDF soldiers. Not one iota of compassion of 1.6 million Palestinians.
This is a deeply racist nation, and Israel finds in the United States a natural ally in white supremacy.

THE AUDACITY OF A PRINCIPLED STRUGGLE FOR JUSTICE, SOMETHING OBAMA KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT

   A year after the merciless slaughter in Gaza by the Israeli military the interest in Gaza and the condemned Palestinian nation has spread throughout the world.  


    Today at least two organizations seek to break the siege with Gaza and are trying to enter Gaza.  One has been blockaded by the Egyptian military junta and the other has been blockaded by the Egyptian regime, Jordan, and Israel.  I speak of the Viva Palestina and Gaza Freedom March.


    Today some Gaza Freedom marchers entered Gaza to rally with thousands of Palestinians, but the Egyptian dictatorhip at the behest of the United States embassy has prevented entry by more than one thousand other participants from around the world who are now being beaten down by Mubaraks thuggish security apparatus in Cairo.


    Who can imagine the size of this movement a year from now?  A thousand and more will return to their homelands to tell the truth about Gaza, Israel and Egypt.  The truth, something we don't get from our governments or the corporate media.  The movement to break the siege of Gaza is spreading like a wildfire!

CITIZEN NORMAN FINKELSTEIN MAKES A BRILLIANT SUGGESTION

The various and sundry campaigns to nonviolently confront and defeat the Israeli siege of Palestine, and especially Gaza, has grown geometrically since the incredibly savage Israeli massacre of more than 1400 Gazans in 2008. Israel has never seen such a loss of respect and popular support. Europe has largely come to see what Israel is doing to the Palestinians but Zionist influence remains strong in the halls of government. The United States is rapidly becoming a different country as the Zionist oppression of the Palestinians is finally being seen for what it is, a longstanding and continuing set of crimes against humanity and peace.

Norm Finkelstein, the son of holocaust survivors, has helped us see through the apparent memorialization of the shoah or Jewish holocaust which ends up being used to confuse the public about what is going on in Palestine/Israel today. Now he suggests a mass demonstration to impose international law in Gaza by opening the border crossings which Israel and Egypt generally keep shut like prison gates.

Meanwhile, hundreds of United States citizens will soon return to the United States eager to tell their relations, friends and communities about what is really going on in Gaza, Israel and Egypt.

It is time for the right-wing American rabbis to embrace international law, to show that they too love the Palestinians and to criticize the real crimes of Israel with the intention of improving the situation for all parties. Or they can continue supporting Israel's confrontational and subversive influence both vis-a-vis Palestinians whom they brutalize and murder; and the United States citizens whom they have so substantially misled and used to oppress the Palestinians.

When American Zionists maintain an uncritical and callous support of Israeli crimes they only discredit themselves. American citizens are seeing this more and more every day. The great educational campaign about Palestine and Gaza is only beginning.

AMERICAN POLICY WONKS AND MEDIA HEADS IGNORE THE WORSENED SIEGE OF GAZA

One of the objectives of the Israeli invasion and bombardment of Gaza was to intensify the siege. For three weeks the Palestinians have been under bombardment as their supply lines were either blockaded by the Israelis as usual along with the connivance of the Egyptian dictator, Mubarek. Major efforts were made to destroy the emergency tunnel system which was providing some life giving supplies to the 1.4 million people of Gaza. Now the Israeli invaders have scurried back to their suburban lifestyles. Gaza is more isolated and under siege than ever.

Of course, no one in the corporate and pro-imperialist media talks about the siege of Gaza and the West Bank and frankly it seems that we usually have one or more Zionists doing all the talking. PBS and NPR have really ignored the massacres in Gaza with the exception of BBC to some extent. Indeed, even these more informative sources of information usually repeat Israeli talking points instead of covering the news. What is the percent of Zionists at these publicly financed news organizations?

When will Americans pay attention to reality? The siege is crucial to understanding the nature of Israel and its allies. It is a crime against humanity and a war crime. We can't ignore the siege of Palestine, including Gaza and be talking about anything but Israeli and American imperialist talking points.

With more than 11oo or is it 1200 slaughtered by the Israli war machine and only fifty of them fighters we have to speak out and demand that the happily chatty "journalists" of NPR and PBS get off their lazy intellectual behinds and start covering facts in the real world instead of repeating Israeli talking points ad infinitum!

MORE THAN 1100 DEAD AND THE US MEDIA IS VIRTUALLY SILENT

Yesterday the UN Headquarters in Gaza was burned to the ground and two hospitals set on fire. Israel has slaughtered more than 11oo Palestinians to to constructive end. Shine light on the crimes of Israel and the pro-Israel lobby which virtually has cut off information about Israeli crimes. This is because of the uncritical pro-Israeli lobby having such influence over time and particularly the clever way the holocaust of Jews has been used to justify (in a completely irrational and immoral way) the conquest of Palestine and the murder or expulsion of the native Palestinians.

For the Palestinians it has been sixty years of a living hell being subjected to the brutal rule of European settlers posing as the owners of the land they conquer by fire and brimstone.
